This year’s best horror anthology has something for the whole family, assuming they are sick, twisted, horror-loving freaks. Joining German splatter legend Jörg Buttgereit of NEKROMANTIK (1987) and DER TODESKING (1990) infamy, is Michal Kosakowski (of the 2012 murder fantasy documentary ZERO KILLED) and Andreas Marschall, director of the German neo-gialli MASKS (2011). Each tackles a strikingly different yet equally vicious horror tale set in Berlin, about a guinea pig loving schoolgirl gone astray, a tormented deaf couple with a trick up their sleeve, and a mysterious sex club whose secret is too good to be true. GERMAN ANGST is not for the faint hearted, and for that reason alone should be at the top of your Monster Fest list.
