GRAFTED Gets A GORY New Trailer & Poster
Fresh from its European premiere at the prestigious international genre film festival Sitges and local premieres at Monster Fest, (YET) Another Monster Company in collaboration with Monster Pictures Distribution will unleash the New Zealand body-horror film GRAFTED in Australian Cinemas November 21.
Accompanying the news of the film’s Aussie release, is an all-new and ultra-gory Trailer and localised Theatrical Poster, key artwork that proved too controversial for the film’s domestic release in the Land of the Long White Cloud, having been refused classification.
GRAFTED tells the story of a shy though brilliant student, Wei (Joyena Sun), who while continuing her deceased father’s scientific work, finds a way to achieve the popularity she desperately craves, one bloody body at a time.
Shot across Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, GRAFTED also stars Jess Hong (3 Body Problem), Eden Hart (Sweet Tooth), Jared Turner (The Convert), Mark Mitchinson (Evil Dead Rise), Sepi To’a (The Castaways) and Ginette McDonald (Time Bandits).
GRAFTED is the feature directorial debut of BAFTA-nominated Sasha Rainbow and is written by Mia Maramara (Kāinga), Hweiling Ow (The Tattooist), Lee Murray (Aurealis), & Rainbow.
